Bayern Munich thrashes Auckland City by 10-0 to set Club World Cup record.

Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munchen has made a strong statement in the Club World Cup by trashing a New Zealand side, Auckland City, 10 goals to nothing in Cincinnati.

This is the second game of the tournament after a disappointing opening game of the tournament, which ended in a goalless draw between Al Ahly and Inter Miami.

Vincent Kompany’s team outperformed Auckland City to record the highest goals scored in the history of the Club World Cup.

The difference in squad value between the two sides showed clearly just 5 minutes into the game as Bayern registered their first goal through Kingsley Coman.

In 18 minutes of the game, Bayern’s right back Sacha Boey registered the second goal, assisted by Coman.

Bayern dominated the game after their two-goal lead and kept attacking until Michael Olise and Coman scored the second and third goals, respectively, to make it 4-0 to end the first half.

Thomas Muller, who is playing his last tournament for Bayern Munich, played until full time, as Vincent Kompany skipped him when making his substitutions. He proceeded to score 2 goals, one in the 46th minute through an assist from Michael Olise.

Jamal Musiala was subbed in in the 61st minute but scored a record hat-trick to make it the 10th time Bayern found the back of the net.

Bayern’s ruthless performance sends a strong message to Club World Cup contenders.

The German champions are wasting no time in sending warning signals to the Club World Cup contenders.

After their disappointing performance in the UEFA Champions League in the just-ended season, Bayern want to use this opportunity to lift another trophy aside from their domestic trophies.

Vincent Kompany is also looking forward to winning his first-ever trophy outside Germany, and this looks to be a glorious opportunity to achieve that fate.

Their style of play is to attack from the wide areas with their fullbacks.

Tactical Analysis Of The Game

The Bavarians dominated the game with 71% possession, 10 corner kicks, and 26 shots (17 on target, 9 off target) as against Auckland’s 29% possession, 2 corners, and one shot.

Bayern’s persistent attacks force a lot of corners, which shows much dominion in their wide areas. Even the Bavarians’ missed chances were more than Auckland’s total attempts due to their sharp attacking options.

Manuel Neuer, who was in the goalpost for Bayern, made only one save throughout the 90 minutes, which shows total domination in both halves.
