Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes criticizes his teammates and hits back at the club’s slow transfer approach in his post-match interview.
The Portuguese midfielder, who has been an outstanding player for the Red Devils for the past 5 years, spoke about the quality of the players, expressing regret in their game against Everton, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
The captain indicated that though they have been doing well in the preseason so far, their performances could have been better in the game against Everton, in which he described their performances as lazy.
The red devil also said that, despite having quality in the squad, he hopes that by the end of the transfer window, the club will make at least two signings to improve the team.
United’s transfer strategy has been nothing but poor as far as other top clubs in the Premier League are concerned.
They made two early signings (Cunha and Mbuemo), and after that are struggling to land any player after multiple links, citing financial crises as their stumbling block as teams keep overpricing their top talents.
The Portuguese midfielder declined two big money offers from Saudi Arabia to stay at Manchester United, as he hopes to help change the situation at the club.
Despite having two big players who performed incredibly well in the Premier League last season, Bruno Fernandes would like to see the club going in for more before the window ends.

Manchester United Transfer News. Who Is Their Next Target After Cunha And Mbuemo?
Currently Manchester United is in a race with Newcastle United for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.
The Slovenian striker is high on both teams’ radar after his impressive performance last season in the German Bundesliga.
It was reported earlier on that the striker was interested in joining Manchester United, as he prefers to wear the red shirt of Manchester.
But a twist occurred as multiple reports from German sources claimed that the player is now open to a move to Newcastle instead.
In about 24 hours after that news, Newcastle submitted their first offer of €75 million + 5 million in add-ons to RB Leipzig.
The Magpies saw their bid immediately rejected as Leipzig described the money as insufficient.
Now David Ornstein, a transfer expert, has reported that the player is yet to make a decision as to which club he wants to go to.
The Red Devils are yet to make an official bid to RB Leipzig, as they are not certain about the player’s desire to play for them.
But reports suggest that they are ready to match Newcastle’s offer, which will serve as a base for negotiations, but the deal is expected to be in excess of €80 million.
Now the deal depends on the player, as both teams are waiting for the player to make a final decision before they start negotiations with RB Leipzig.
