Paris Saint-Germain are preparing to sell goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma this summer if any suitable offer comes in to avoid the repeat of Kylian Mbappe’s free transfer to Real Madrid last season.
With Donnarumma entering the final year of his contract with PSG and showing no signs of renewal after multiple attempts, the club is now considering cashing in on him.
Chelsea is one of the top clubs that has been doing so much in this summer transfer window.
With the inclusion of Gittens, Delap, and Joào Pedro, the Blues are looking forward to preparing a young and energetic team to compete for years.
After putting so much effort into strengthening their squad before the start of the FIFA Club World Cup and going ahead to win it, Chelsea appears to be closely monitoring PSG’s goalkeeper situation.
The Italian shot-stopper has proven his class at both club and international levels, making him one of the best goalkeepers in Europe currently.
Chelsea’s Goalkeeping Situation: Why Gianluigi Donnarumma Fits the Bill
The goal-keeping department at Chelsea currently needs attention, and the club is looking forward to sorting it out.
Despite Robert Sanchez’s amazing display in the Club World Cup finals against PSG, the Blues don’t want to experience any of the problems they had last season.
Last season, Robert Sanchez made 5 errors leading to goals, which is very unfortunate.
The board of Chelsea believes that giving both Robert Sanchez and Philip Jorgensen a challenge will help the team to achieve their goals next season, and Gianluigi Donnarumma is an ideal goalkeeper to do that.
With his qualities in saving the shots, passing and reflexes, there is no doubt that the Italian shot stopper would fit into Chelsea’s setup easily.
Both on the international and club levels, Gianluigi Donnarumma has shown his qualities and is even in line to win the best goalkeeper award in this year’s French football awards ceremony.
Check out Donnarumma’s last season stats.

Apart From Chelsea, Have Other Teams Shown Interest In Him?
Yes, per Football Italia, both Manchester United and Manchester City are interested in signing Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Multiple reports also suggested that Juventus and Inter Milan would also be happy to land him if the chance arrives.
His contract issues with PSG are dragging interested teams to approach the player for a possible transfer, and both Inter and Juventus are among the teams.
But according to GOAL, the player is willing to prioritize a move to the Premier League over any other league, as we speak with many top clubs interested.
What Next for PSG If He Leaves?
With much experience with players leaving the club unprepared, using Mbappe as an example, PSG has already made a move to find his replacement before the window ends.
The Parisians are targeting 23-year-old Lucas Chevalier from Lille to replace Donnarumma. Diogo Costa from FC Porto is also on the list of goalkeepers PSG is looking at as a possible replacement.
Paris Saint-Germain don’t want to repeat the Kylian Mbappé mistake; therefore, they want to find his replacement and cash in on Gianluigi Donnarumma.
